BYO Winter Concert (featuring all ensembles) – ‘Northern Resonance’
27 June @ 3:00 pm - 5:30 pm

Join us for an inspiring afternoon of music as the Bellingen Youth Orchestra takes centre stage for our Winter Concert. Featuring performances of In the Hall of the Mountain King and Devil’s Dance, the orchestra is sure to delight audiences once again with its enthusiasm, talent, and passion for music.
The concert will also showcase the dedication and musical growth of our young performers from both our String and Wind Schools. These ensembles will come together to form the Bellingen Youth Cygnet Orchestra, presenting works by Carl Strommen and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart that highlight both contemporary and classical orchestral traditions.
Our Wind School musicians have been working diligently to master Hungarian Dance No. 5, one of the most beloved of Johannes Brahms’ 21 Hungarian Dances. Bursting with energy, character, and rhythmic vitality, this audience favourite promises to be a concert highlight.
Meanwhile, Sinfonia, our advanced string ensemble, will once again deliver a polished and captivating performance, showcasing the musical maturity, expressive depth, and ensemble artistry its members have developed throughout the year.
We look forward to sharing an afternoon of wonderful music and celebrating the achievements of our young musicians with family, friends, and the wider community.
