We continue to be amazed and inspired by the resilience of young players. With ongoing adversities affecting our community and our world, it can often be hard as a young player to find motivation to pick up an instrument. Not so, with the BYO. The BYO team was so delighted with this year’s response to our 2022 annual senior scholarship round. Our players submitted excellent written applications and then successful applications made it through to round two, where players delivered a composition of their choice. Our performers in the second round deserve a tremendous round of applause. The event showcased an exceptional evening of talent and our wonderful performers played with so much energy. It was a fantastic return to music for our BYO community; we were delighted to be able to come back together again as a family and listen to our players present their individual pieces. The BYO team would like to commend the time and practice put into each player’s piece. We know our official adjudicators Zillah Hawley and David Ellis found it a challenging task to award the scholarships, with the talent on show.
