Our annual Bellingen Youth Orchestra camp not only brought our players together in a fun, exciting, positive and engaging atmosphere but provided extended structured musical workshops where our players worked closely with our highly qualified music teachers to enhance and develop their musicianship. Our exceptionally talented teachers were very eager to share their skills as part of the whole camp experience. Players also participated in other fun, confidence building camp activities across the two days to ensure there was a balance of intensive music focus and time to mix and laugh with friends. The camp culminated in a concert at where all ensembles played for their parents and guests from the local community.
With a mix of levels from intermediate to advanced, our camps are designed to ensure a supportive
environment in which we look not only at musical skills but at the confidence and ensemble skills of all
of our players. It’s not what you can do that counts; it’s how much you can stretch and take risks, this is what we strive to achieve when delivering the BYO camp experience.
