DESCRIPTION:It is with great excitement that Bellingen Youth Orchestra has invited local schools to join us for our 2022 Schools Concert. This event has not been able to take place in the last two years due to the COVID restrictions but we are thrilled that this year we can offer schools the opportunity to … ‘Meet the Orchestra’! \nBellingen Youth Orchestra have organised an entertaining and free concert for students in Stage 1 and 2 (Years 1\, 2\, 3 and 4). This event will provide students with the opportunity to meet all the sections of the orchestra and the talented teenagers who play these instruments. This is a wonderful opportunity for young students to be introduced to all instruments found in a full orchestra. Some students have never had an experience like this and we are very excited to offer this program to the young people in our region. \nTHIS EVENT IS NOT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. Invitations have been sent to schools in our local area.

In the first half enjoy the classical sound of strings as you have never heard them contrasting with the modern sound of Max Richter’s recomposing of Vivaldi’s Spring. In the second half journey through a simple folksong; the emotional drama of Romeo and Juliet\, the modern sounds from Howl’s Moving Castle and the drama of Tchaikovsky’s March Slave.
