SUMMARY:2023 Schools Concert
DESCRIPTION:NOT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. INVITED SCHOOLS ONLY. \nThe Bellingen Youth Orchestra are pleased to present our BYO annual schools concert. \nBased on the success of the 2022 Schools Concert\, our proposed 2023 ‘Magic of Music’ event will provide students from our catchment area with the prospect to further familiarise themselves with an orchestral experience and the myriad of positive rewards it provides. We will bring up to 700 (based on last year’s success) identified young people from 15 regional schools – extending to Dorrigo\, Bonville\, Bowraville and Eungai\, to engage with the youth orchestra for two days (4 sessions) of interactive\, fun and engaging music. Students will experience an instrument walk through\, dance and meet the young musicians and tutors\, some of whom are world-class performers. The experience aims to continue to build an interest in and love of music\, encourage playing a musical instrument\, inspire music in schools\, build connections resulting in positive social and emotional experiences\, and promote a culture of successful youth and community development in the Bellingen Shire.
