Bellingen Youth Orchestra had the pleasure of learning from and then playing with this wonderful band from Sydney. Chutney are known for drawing on their Eastern European and Middle Eastern heritage. Their musical program presents a hot and spicy mix of original tunes and modern twists on traditional bangers. Following a workshop during the day for all BYO players, the BYO Sinfonia were then invited to play with the band at the Valla Hall! This experience gave our Sinfonia players the opportunity to develop their improvisation skills whilst playing Shmaltzy Kelzmer music. What a night of fun and dancing this event was.
