The BYO is grateful for its many financial supporters, particularly those that provide generous support in the assistance of the creation of our BYO scholarships. These scholarships directly impact our players and their musical pathways, providing them with financial assistance to support them in following their dreams in pursuing musical excellence. The BYO would like to congratulate Niamh Pollard on receiving the 2023 ‘Bob Demkin Strings Scholarship’. This scholarship is made possible due to the generous support of long-term BYO advocate Bob Demkin. The scholarship is awarded for musical excellence, commitment and contribution and effort within BYO ensembles. Niamh began her musical journey with BYOSS and now plays with our flagship orchestra the BYO and our advanced string group Sinfonia.
